What is it ?
SearchONS from the french 1st person of plural form of the verb search
when added "ons" it means WE search.
The idea is to get better search results based on our community.
I like to call it "social search". Even with the best algorithm
you can only have an idea what a human being want by entering a specific search term.
So at searchons we plan to enhance your search experience with a 1 search 1 find goal.
The idea is to have results right on the target for specific terms. By listening
to previous experience from our members. When you are the first to search for a term,
you will digg the google search results and highlight where you found your answer for us.
after that, this result will appear on top of other search results so that the second person
to search for this same term already has a pointer. If this person doesn't find what she's
looking for there, then she diggs google SER and highlight a new document.
When the whole community searches and highlights we will get pages being highlighted more
than others and know that it is what people really want.
so what's the difference with social bookmarking?
The concept is the same, however it is now applied to search.
Do you really bookmark everything you search for online ? NO, but you can still
highlight it with a click of the mouse for the next user that will search for it.
